Uncommonness of common sense

I was going through The Express Tribune early today when I read the following.

"SINDH GOVERNOR FINED FOR VIOLATING TRAFFIC RULES.
In an unusual development, the motorway Police fined Sindh Governor Imran Ismail for over speeding on Wednesday in Islamabad. The Governor was issued a challan of Rs.750 which he paid on the spot."

What is best in it? It was his responsibility to pay the fine after violation of rules. This is a state of absolute ignorance. In this state of unawareness, an educated citizen and a promising politician holding a Public office at Provincial level can pay the fine but can not stuck to the rules and regulations. He has the strength to pay the fine but don't have moral courage to remain persistent with the traffic rules, the violation of which risks many lives on road and around.

In simple language,as a nation as we continue to grow, got more education, more status, more exposure, more position and power we are loosing the simplicity, moral values, common sense and most importantly our humanity.
